Jazz and World Music Festival
March 31 - April 4, 2025
The annual Jazz and World Music Festival in the Conservatory of Music features students, faculty, and world-renowned guest artists. In addition to performances both on- and off-campus, there are clinics and workshops throughout the duration of the festival. All events are free and open to the public unless marked otherwise.
Jazz Area Visiting Student Experience Day
On Friday, April 4th, the Capital University Conservatory of Music will open its doors to middle and high school students for a fun, interactive educational experience. Between 9am-4pm visiting students will have the opportunity to see performances by Capital students and faculty, participate in open jam sessions with Capital’s Jazz Ensembles, sit in on collegiate-level ensemble rehearsals, and learn from our faculty and students in interactive workshops.
Instrumentalists and vocalists of all jazz abilities are encouraged to attend!
For more details about the Student Experience Day, please see the Open Jam Session information.
